Justin Timberlake jokingly apologizes for viral dance video – Billboard

It’s been less than a week since Justin Timberlake went viral for an awkward dance routine during a performance in Washington DC, and on Wednesday (June 22), the star hilariously apologized.

“DC, I want to apologize to you for two reasons: here and here,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories, bringing the camera closer to a close-up of her feet. “I had a long talk with both of them, individually, and told them, ‘Don’t ever do that to me again.'”

The “Cry Me a River” singer also pointed out the pair of khaki pants that fans on TikTok made fun of him for. “Maybe it was the persimmons. It was a real khaki vibe,” he joked.

JT concluded by promising that his feet will “get it right” in the future, adding a series of memes on social media to show that he’s really into the joke.

The viral incident occurred on Saturday (June 18), when Timberlake took to the stage during Pharrell’s Something in the Water music festival, wearing a green short-sleeved button-down shirt and a pair of khaki pants, with orange sneakers, giving Dad’s ultimate vibe as a father of two. During his performance, the star attempted a heavy Beat Ya Feet-style dance, but ended up getting ridiculed on TikTok for his moves.

“Me after a couple of drinks thinking I actually did something,” one user joked in the comments, while another wrote, “Dad at some kind of wedding dance.”
